The Barbados senior netball team engaged in their first court session yesterday with the players quickly getting into stride at the chilly Glasgow Club at Tollcross here in Scotland.

Coaches Margaret Cutting and Adrian Craigwell seized the opportunity to try out a number of combinations with the unorthodox Faye Agard playing goal shooter and Brianna Holder running the goal attack.

The flashy Sabreena Smith was in her element playing centre with Sheniqua Thomas at wing attack and Tonisha Rock-Yaw at wing defence.

Veterans captain Latonia Blackman and vice-captain Shonette Bruce-Azore controlled the defence circle and repeatedly starved or intimidated opposing shooters Shonica Wharton and Trishan Deane. (KB)
