NUPW: Public sector health workers to get COVID-19 hazard allowance

The National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) said today that it has negotiated the payment of a COVID-19 Hazard Allowance for workers in the public healthcare sector.

NUPW confirmed that after meeting with the Ministry of Public Service on Tuesday, December 14, all workers that are eligible according to the agreed criteria will be paid the COVID- 19 Hazard Allowance.

The categories of workers include ancillary, administrative, technical/ paramedical, physiotherapists, nursing assistants, registered nurses, doctors and consultants. (PR)
