While some hotel restaurants are reporting decreased capacity due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Barbadians patronised them for Christmas lunch.

At Radisson Aquatica, Aquatic Gap, St Michael, staff were kept busy dealing with a steady line of guests.

Director of sales Cheryl Blackman said, “For us, it’s good to have Barbadians with us again for Christmas Day lunch in a safe environment, of course. We are observing the protocols as the safety of our patrons is of paramount importance”.

Blackman said they were at half the capacity of previous years but were making full use of the available space.

Guests taking advantage of the lunch offer gave the hotel glowing praise. Phyllis Hewitt was among a group of friends who often plan outings together. She said that once they were all in the island, Radisson Aquatica was the place to be for Christmas lunch. (CA)
