Three injured in double ZR collision

Three people were injured after two Route Taxis (ZRs) collided at Portland Road, St Peter, on Friday, resulting in one going airborne and landing on the roof in a nearby field.

The driver of ZR 51, Chae Akeil Bishop, 32 years, of Rockfield, St Lucy, his conductor and a lone passenger reported various ailments after the crash.

Bishop complained of pain to his back, right ear and both of his shoulders; the conductor complained of pain to his neck while the passenger complained of pain to her head, back and stomach.

Daniel Colin Boyce, 37, of Bishop’s Tenantry, St Lucy, the driver of ZR 208 and lone occupant, did not report any injuries.

Both vehicles were traveling from Pleasant Hall towards Diamond Corner when the collision occurred around 12:40 p.m.

The injured were assessed at the scene by ambulance personnel before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. (PR/SAT)
