Police: Wellington Street fire is being brought under control

Police and personnel of the Fire Service are at the scene of a  house fire in Wellington Street, The City.

A statement from police said that the fire in the St Michael district is being brought under control.

Police said there were also reports of children trapped in the house but the firemen have indicated that the house is empty and no one is injured or trapped.

A report regarding the fire was received after 2 p.m.
