With face-to-face classes returning tomorrow, Bridgetown was bustling as people rushed to buy last minute school supplies.

In Swan Street, parents were busy trying to get their children prepared for face-to-face classes.

Ann Springer operates a small stall along a side alley, selling children’s socks, vests and undergarments, among other items. She said she had been “quite busy”.

“I brought in stock back in September but there was no school so now I brought them back out. Yesterday (Friday) was quite good and today (Saturday) is also going well although the rain has hampered things a little bit,” she said.

Woolworth also featured a multitude of shoppers looking for bargains in clothes, stationery, backpacks and socks. Managing director Martin Bryan said they had prepared for the influx and were well stocked. (CA)
