Fire destroys one house, damages another

One house was destroyed by fire and another damaged at Rock Hall, St Philip, on Friday evening.

A two bedroom uninsured wooden house owned by 52-year-old Otis Franklyn was razed to the ground, while a three bedroom wooden house, located on the eastern side of Franklyn’s home, was damaged.

That home was owned and occupied by Vernese Alleyne, 53.

Two tenders and eight personnel responded from the Barbados Fire Service, extinguishing the blaze just before 4 p.m..

Investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
