Wildey followed up defiant batting led by Shane Parris and Akeem Jordan with purposeful bowling yesterday and marched to their third successive win when they beat ESA Field Pickwick by seven runs in a low-scoring contest.

Left-arm spinner Steve Pinder grabbed two for nine from his allotted four overs and epitomised the visitors’ discipline, as they diligently defended a modest total of 102-5 in their third series Barbados Cricket Association Elite/Division 1 Twenty20 match at Foursquare Oval.

Shackles

Pinder removed Shai Hope for eight when the West Indies batsman tried to loose the shackles and was caught at deep mid-off in the final over of the Power Play.

Pickwick stumbled to 46-6 in the 12th over before Tino Best, not out on 23, and Ajani Waterman with 23 put on 40 for the seventh wicket to put them within sight of the final target.
