The Barbados Water Authority is investigating reports of low pressure and water outages in some parts of St George.

The issue appears to have affected customers in Fairview, Free Hill, The Mount, Superlative, Greens and surrounding districts in the parish. Investigations will focus on possible bursts on the water lines servicing these areas.

Tanker crews will continue to assist residents of the affected areas as a temporary measure while the Authority investigates the source of the problem.

Meanwhile, BWA personnel also continue inspection of the 8-inch main between Hopewell and Proute in St Thomas which includes clearing the gully and checking the main for leaks.

Repair crews are also working on a burst main in Ealing Park, Christ Church which has impacted residents of the surrounding districts.

The Authority apologises for any inconvenience caused by the disruption in service and thanks customers for their undestanding.    (PR)
