COVID-19 Update for June 13

Barbados recorded 131 new COVID-19 cases, 51 males and 80 females, from the 786 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Monday, June 13.

The cases consisted of 35 people under the age of 18, and 96 who were 18 years and older.

There were 28 people in isolation facilities, while 1 065 were in home isolation.

As at June 13, there were 468 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 695 044 tests since February 2020, and recorded 82 449 COVID-19 cases (37 576 males and 44 873 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 521 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). The number of fully vaccinated is 153 072 (56.5 per cent of the total population or 67 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
