COVID-19 Update for July 11

Barbados recorded 297 new COVID-19 cases, 128 males and 169 females, on Monday, July 11, from the 1 108 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The cases comprised 67 people under the age of 18, and 230 who were 18 years and older.

There were 41 people in isolation facilities, while 1 465 were in home isolation.

As at July 11, there were 478 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 712 548 tests since February 2020, and recorded 86 451 COVID-19 cases (39 530 males and 46 921 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 747 (71.3 per cent of the eligible population). The number of fully vaccinated is 153 713 (56.7 per cent of the total population or 67.3 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
