The numbers may not be as high as in previous years, but revellers are still coming in for the last lap of the Sweetest Summer Festival.

At Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday, the Arrivals Hall was abuzz with passengers, some of whom were in Barbados for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, and others to experience their first Crop Over.

Rudolph Hinds, in from California, said he was ready for the road, albeit late. He added he was here for about three weeks and intended to spend time with his family before returning to the United States.

“Work had me caught up so I got here as soon as I could. I ‘pun the road every day. I got cruises line up . . . . I am jumping for Kadooment Day, but I not sure who with as yet. Whoever my boys jumping with, I jumping with; they got me covered,” he said.  (RA)
