Four hundred and five people tested positive for COVID-19 from 4 177 tests conducted during the period October 1 to 14 in Barbados.

And the majority, 338, remain in the 18 and older category, while 67 were under age 18.

These were some of the statistics in the first COVID-19 update from the Ministry of Health and Wellness in a fortnight after announcing it would no longer provide a daily dashboard after September 2022.

The number of deaths attributed to the viral illness remained at 560 as none were recorded during that period.

Overall, Barbados has officially recorded 103 014 positive cases – 46 574 men and 56 440 women.

As at October 14, 57.1 per cent of the population is fully vaccinated. (SAT)
