Seven babies – four girls and three boys – made a grand entrance for Christmas Day at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
The first, Khaleesi St Pierre, weighing seven pounds, three ounces, was born at 1:15 a.m. to first-time mother Therecia St Pierre a week past her due date.
Baby girl Ariyah Harewood-Springer, was born to another first-time mum, 20-year-old Keba Springer, at 3:32 a.m. She weighed six pounds, 15.9 ounces and Springer said Ariyah was an early Christmas present as she was not due until New Year’s Day.
Nadesha Lashley welcomed her first daughter and second child at 7:18 a.m. T’leah, who weighed six pounds, five ounces, was born 17 days earlier than expected.
Meanwhile, Cheriann and Vaughn Greene had the first boy of the day. Jaxon Vaughn Greene arrived at 7:50 a.m., weighinged five pounds, 14 ounces.
The second baby boy was born to Nigerian Folashade Oluyadi. Her son, Olufayokunmi, weighing seven pounds, eight ounces, arrived at 8:30 a.m. This is her second child, as she has a six-year-old daughter. Baby Fayo was born after Oluyadi suffered three miscarriages.
Tia Alleyne delivered baby No. 6 at the QEH – a boy weighing six pounds, eight ounces – at 12:16 p.m., while Rynelle Herbert delivered the seventh baby, a girl, at 3:22 p.m.
No babies were born at Bayiew Hospital up to the time of this article. (RA)
