Promoters apologised to partygoers for some events which were not staged on Old Year’s Night.

Reggae Fever was postponed until January 28, possibly at a new venue, but Masquerade at the Habitat, Sip Sip NYE and Enchante were all cancelled.

Reggae Fever was scheduled to be held at the National Botanical Gardens, Waterford, and the postponement was announced via its social media pages, but many patrons were not aware and turned up at the venue on Saturday night, only to be disappointed.

Among the acts billed were Jamaican Reggae singers Cocoa Tea and Shane-O, as well as Barbadians Lead Pipe, Saddis, Chiief Diin, other performers and a fireworks display. (Nation News)
