Police destroy over $11m in cannabis and cocaine

Over $11 million in illegal drugs were incinerated by the Barbados Police Service at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Tuesday.

These drugs came into their possession either as a result of court cases or operations and investigations.

Police say about 1179.269 kgs of cannabis valued $9 434 152 and 2.2kgs of cocaine valued at $110 000 from court cases or bulk drugs were destroyed.

From operations and investigations, 198.005kgs of cannabis valued at $1 584 040 also went up in smoke. (SAT)
