A witness yesterday recalled how he “got low” when he heard gunshots at a street jam in Wotton, Christ Church seven years ago.

Sharen Simpson was testifying in the violent disorder trial of Shane Anthony Burke, formerly known as Shane Anthony Greene, and Akem Marvon Waithe in the No. 5 Supreme Court.

He said he had attended the event with a friend and was working the bar when he heard shots being fired.

“I had gotten low until I didn’t hear no more,” he said.

Simpson said he was not hurt, but he checked for his friend and took her to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (HLE)
