Barbadians will soon know who the next Central Bank governor will be.

When quizzed on who will take the mantle yesterday, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley said the wait will not be very long.

“There is a process involved, but very soon, very soon,” she said moments after hosting France’s Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, Chrysoula Zacharopolou, at Ilaro Court.

Yesterday was Governor Cleviston Haynes’ last day on the job.

Last Wednesday during the annual review of the Barbados economy, Haynes announced his contract would come to an end on January 31. (BA)
