Man on rape charge granted bail

The man who was charged with the rape of a British national will return to court on September 7.

Daniel Peter Johnson of Edgehill Heights, St Thomas, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Friday.

Johnson, 41, was granted bail to the tune of $10 000. He was charged by the police earlier this week in connection with the incident, which occurred on March 6.

The woman is a British Airways cabin crew member who was overnighting in Barbados. (PR/SAT)
