A war of words erupted between a senior attorney and a judge yesterday over the availability of the lawyer to do a matter.

In the end, the accused was ordered to return to court on Monday and offered the option of getting a new lawyer, through the Community Legal Services Department.

The matter was that of Torian Shyan Ryan Knight, of Well Gap, Cave Hill, St Michael who was in the No. 3 Supreme Court yesterday. He is accused of discharging a firearm at the junction of President Kennedy Drive and 2nd Avenue, Thorne’s Gap, in a manner that placed Dario Holder in danger of death or serious bodily harm on January 29, 2017.

He is also accused of using a firearm without a licence as well as having a bullet on the same date. (HLE)
