Either The St Michael School or Springer Memorial will be crowned girls’ champions of the Dasani-Powerade Barbados Secondary Schools Athletics Championships (BSSAC) when the points are called tomorrow evening.

There is no easy prediction in the boys’ championship where Combermere, The Lodge School and Harrison College are poised to pounce for glory. The dark horse is Alleyne School.

The St Michael School girls head into today’s final on 72 points, six more than Combermere. Springer currently sits in ninth position on 26 points, this gap is as a result of the field events competition held at Harrison College from March 13 to 15.

Combermere and Alleyne School are currently tied in first position on 64 points in the boys’ standings while Harrison College are third on 58 points. (RW)
