The 2024 CARIFTA Games will be held in the spice isle of Grenada while Trinidad and Tobago will be the hosts in 2025.

The decision was taken following the annual CARIFTA Congress which was held here in the Bahamas on Sunday morning.

It will be the third time Grenada will be the venue for the Caribbean’s most prestigious junior track and field after first hosting the 29th edition in 2000 and the 45th Games in 2016.

Trinidad and Tobago hosted the last of their previous five CARIFTA Games in 2005 when the 34th edition was held at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.

Previously, the CARIFTA Games were held in the twin-island republic in 1973, 1987, 1998 and 2003.

Barbados hosted the first CARIFTA Games in 1972 and the last of their seven in 2001. The other occasions Barbados hosted were in 1977, 1985, 1989, 1994 and 1997.
