Tiny Tyler Narine inspired ESA Field Pickwick Juniors to an entertaining bank holiday triumph over Empire Juniors by 55 runs in yesterday’s gripping Barbados Cricket Supplies (BCS) Under-13 final.

Narine, the youngest player in the match at just seven, took two wickets in one over, to hasten the end for Empire Juniors. The promising Hilda Skeene Primary student was named Player-Of-The-Match.

Throngs of spectators flocked to Queen’s Park to witness Pickwick lift the trophy after a crucial half-century by reliable captain and opener Justin Parris, a son of former Empire and Barbados player, Jason Parris.

Parris must have been very close to winning the Player-Of-The-Match award, having also held the gloves and taken a wicket.  (RW)
