Jack Francis has had a setback and Ronald “Suki” King has moved into second place at the World Go-As-You-Please draughts qualifier in Turkey.

After three rounds, King, a former world champion, is joint second with eight points, one behind the South Africans Nonyukela and Mazibuka.

Sharing the second spot with King are the German Igor Mortynov and the American Alex Moiseyev.

Francis, who did well in the first two rounds, had a disappointing third round and has six points, three adrift of the leaders. (MK)
