Official service for Sir Frank Blackman

The life of Sir Frank Blackman K.A, KCVO, OBE, J.P., the first Cabinet Secretary in post-colonial Barbados, and former Head of the Civil Service and Ombudsman, will be celebrated during an Official Service of Thanksgiving on Friday, May 12.

The service will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Methodist Church, Worthing, Christ Church, from 10 a.m.

A condolence book will be available for signing by the public in the foyer of Government Headquarters, Bay Street, St. Michael, from Monday, May 8, until Thursday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.

Sir Frank passed away on April 20, 2023, at the age of 96. (BGIS)
