C.O. Williams Rangers moved the ball to please to end a ten-year drought and captured the division one league crown on Saturday night at the Netball Stadium.

The Rangers were at their best in dismantling cup contenders Guardian Group Pride of Villa 50-33 to end the season with six wins, one draw and one loss and an unassailable 34 points.

Former queens UWI Blackbirds can maximise on 28 points, Villa on 27 and St Barnabas Netball Club 26 if they win their remaining games.

After a runaway start to the season, the Rangers stuttered with a loss to St Barnabas and then with one hand on the cup they drew with Villa to keep the door to the throne room open. However, Saturday night the Rangers out played Villa in every facet of the game to take a crown they last held in 2013. (KB)
