The transcripts from the trial were not yet ready and, as a result, Peter Ricardo Mayers had his sentencing adjourned when he reappeared in the No 4 Supreme Court last Friday.

Mayers, 43, of My Lord’s Hill, St Michael, had been found guilty of having a firearm and ten rounds of ammunition on April 20, 2019.

He conducted his own defence, while Senior State Counsel Romario Straker and Principal State Counsel Krystal Delaney appeared for the prosecution.

Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell adjourned sentencing until July 21. (HLE)
