It is for Daniel Omar Massiah’s safety that he will remain on remand, for now, at Dodds Prison.

However, said Magistrate Douglas Frederick, if the prosecution does not get a file in his case, then the court will have to grant him bail.

Massiah, of Bourne’s Land, Christ Church, is accused that knowing or believing Eriko Williams had committed the offence of aggravated burglary, he, without lawful authority on January 7, assisted in the transportation of Williams, with intent to impede his apprehension or prosecution.

His attorney Damian Sands petitioned the District “B” Boarded Hall Magistrates’ Court on Friday to grant him bail, saying he had been on remand for six months. (HLE)
