A 16-year-old American boy is scheduled to reappear in court on Friday after an incident last week at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

Shiloh Cecil Bellott was a passenger on the 2:45 p.m. JetBlue Flight B662 scheduled to leave Barbados for New York last Wednesday when he reportedly made a threatening statement towards a member of the flight crew.

The Bomb Squad and other emergency personnel immediately responded to the Airport and searched the flight.

After investigations, Bellott was charged with a criminal offence, but pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court, Boarded Hall, St George, last Friday.

Bellott, who was represented by attorney Simon Clarke in association with Senior Counsel Michael Lashley, was granted bail in the sum of $10 000 with conditions.  (PR/SAT)
