Squash juniors grab four golds

Team Barbados concluded the individual segment of the 2023 Caribbean Junior Squash Championships with four gold, one silver and a bronze medal after the fourth day at the National Squash Centre in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Four of the island’s junior players dominated their respective age categories to emerge as champions.

Sumairaa Suleman captured the final junior Caribbean singles title of her playing career when she defeated Kirsten Gomes of Guyana in the Girls’ Under-19 final.

Eboni Atherley captured the girls’ Under-17 division after dominating her finals match against number two seed Sanjana Nallapati of Jamaica, Under-13 competitors Lenna Hamati and Ben Shepherd were also successful in claiming their individual championship titles. (Nation Sports)
