Bayland resident dies at Brownes beach

The man whose body was pulled from the water at Brownes beach on Tuesday morning has been identified.

He is Tony Layne of Piper’s Avenue, Bayland, St Michael.

Police at the Central Station are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.

His unresponsive body was discovered floating at Brownes Beach, Bay Street, around 5:35 a.m. A group of beach goers noticed an object floating in the water, and upon further investigation, discovered that it was body. One of the males then pulled the body out of the water onto the sand.

A medical doctor pronounced death at the scene and the body was identified by a friend. (PR/SAT)
