The annual Battle Cry Boxing event in honour of Dr Ronald Wilson ended prematurely on Saturday night at the Graydon Sealy Secondary School in Paddock Road, St Michael.

After a relatively late start, the 12th edition of the Battle Cry showdown began with an exhibition between Cairo Reid of Four Hill Gym and Seth Lawrence of FightnFit Gym.

However, that was as far as the event got after the Barbados Boxing Association (BBA) encountered a situation where the service provider for the ambulance was short of a driver and didn’t inform the BBA of that important fact.

As the first bout was an exhibition there was no declared winner. (ML)
