Deighton have done it again

Deighton House (Red) winning the Harrison College Inter-House Swimming Championships is becoming a fact of life as they have now recorded their 11th straight victory.

The champions, who amassed a total of 595.5 points, were once again simply in a class amongst themselves in the latest championship at the Barbados Aquatic Centre.

Their only true rival at inter-house level is Dalton House (Yellow) which came second with 455 points. Collymore House (Green) came fourth with 279 points and Armstrong House (Blue) came fourth with 267.5 points.

The Victrix Ludorum went to Dalton House’s national athlete Jaiya Simmons who competed in the 13 to 14 category. She brought in 55 points to her house, winning all six events in which she competed to earn nine points apiece, with an additional point for breaking the record in the 50-m metre butterfly, which was previously held by jointly by Deandra Small and Inayah Sherry set back in 2010.
