Flash flood watch

Date:

Share post:

A flash flood watch is in effect for Barbados from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the first instance.

A flash flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur.

A trough system is affecting the island and is expected to generate occasional heavy showers from this evening into tonight, with rainfall accumulations of one to three inches. These wet conditions are expected to persist into the weekend. (PR/SAT)
