The now ex-husband of Elizabeth Mitchell recalled how he was awakened by the accused slapping him in the face with a knife.

She then “almost severed” his little finger in the ensuing attack, he said.

This was the testimony of Ormond Mitchell who was in the No. 2A Supreme Court yesterday.

Elizabeth Mitchell, 40, of Lower Newbury, St George, has denied wounding her now ex-husband Ormond on March 3, 2018, with intent.

She has also pleaded not guilty to the lesser, alternate count of unlawfully and maliciously wounding him on the same date. (HLE)
