FROM THE SKIES to the sea, the training personnel of Exercise Tradewinds 2024 have made their presence felt across Barbados.

After several days where the signature buzzing of their โ€˜US Black Hawkโ€™ helicopters filled the air and drew the crowds on each sighting, the 2024 chapter of the programme will conclude today.

Through their time on the island, this multi-domain exercise has included training and simulations on cyber, Caribbean Task Force, ground special operations forces and maritime components.

Fifty-seven subject matter expert planners and instructors formed part of the Tradewinds Marine track. These included 17 divers from Canada, two instructors from the United Kingdomโ€™s Royal Navy, one instructor from the US Army, four from the US Navy and 33 from the United States Coast Guard. (JRN)
