Vandals target City church

An official at St Mary’s Anglican Church in The City, says vandals appear to be targeting the church brick-by-brick.

Not only did they discover several stones were stolen from their driveway, but verger at the church, Era Peters, said someone also defecated on the property.

“From my observation last week Friday, six bricks were taken. The next day I came in, more were missing and then on Monday morning, even more were removed.

“So we are appealing to the general public who may know to come forward and say something because it is very disgraceful for persons to take advantage of such an oasis,” he said.
