THE NATIONAL HOUSING CORPORATION (NHC) yesterday sought to clear the air on a video that went viral on social media highlighting several issues associated with the kitchen, elevators and other sections of the Valery Housing Project in Brittons Hill, St Michael.

In a statement, NHC general manager Ian Gill said while the state-owned entity was concerned about the matters raised, there was some “grossly misleading” information contained in the clip.

“As it relates to the state of the kitchen in one of the units, the NHC became aware of this situation only a few weeks ago. At that time, the tenant admitted that he was responsible for dismantling the cupboards and removing the other fixtures.

The NHC has scheduled a tenant town hall meeting today for 5:30 p.m. at Valery. (BA/PR)
