Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works, Santia Bradshaw, emphasised the critical challenges and necessity for global partnerships for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) while addressing the 2nd High-Level Conference of the Forum on Global Action for Shared Development.

Bradshaw expressed heartfelt appreciation to the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) for facilitating the conference, underscoring the importance of such platforms.

“Forums such as this provides a muchneeded platform for discussion and the development of partnerships, particularly for small island developing states like Barbados,” she stated.

Highlighting the recent devastation caused by Category 4 Hurricane Beryl, Bradshaw painted a vivid picture of the vulnerabilities faced by SIDS. (PR)
