Road closure notice for Bridgetown Craft Market

The National Cultural Foundation will host the annual Bridgetown Craft Market on The Mighty Grynner Highway this weekend, Saturday, August 3rd, and Sunday, August 4th.

To accommodate the event, The Mighty Grynner Highway will be closed to all vehicular traffic from its junction with Holborn Circle to its junction with Brighton Road in the parish of Saint Michael between 2:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on both days. Only vehicles used by members of the Festival Committee will be allowed access during this time.

Parking restrictions will also be in effect during these hours on the following roads:

  • Brighton Road (from Black Rock Main Road to The Mighty Grynner Highway)
  • Black Rock Main Road (from University Drive to Eagle Hall)
  • Deacons Farm Road (from Deacons Road to Brighton Road)
  • President Kennedy Drive
  • Fontabelle Road
  • Deacons Road
  • Westbury Road

Vehicles may only stop on these roads for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers.

Emergency Route Compliance: Additionally, no vehicles will be permitted to remain stationary along the designated emergency or alternate routes except for passenger pickup or drop-off.

Exemptions to these restrictions apply to vehicles operated by The Barbados Police Service, the Barbados Defence Force, the Barbados Fire Service, and other emergency vehicles.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these traffic disruptions and thanks the public for their cooperation.
