Dancehall star Vybz Kartel will perform on December 31, 2024, in Jamaica. It will be his first performance following his release from prison last month after 13 years.

Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell of Downsound Entertainment made the announcement in a post on social media Friday which showed Kartel and Downsound boss Josef Bogdanovich apparently signing the agreement.

The location of the highly-anticipated concert was not disclosed.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was released from the Tower Street Adult Correctional Facility on July 31 after the Court of Appeal ruled against retrying him and his three co-accused for murder, after their previous conviction was quashed by the Privy Council in the United Kingdom.
