Man charged with assault and arson remanded

A young man who turned himself into the Barbados Police Service, has been remanded to Dodds Prison.

Adrian Lamar Beckles, 23, of no fixed placed of abode, who was the subject of a wanted man bulletin issued on Monday, September 2, 2024, in connection with serious criminal matters, came into police custody and appeared in the District ‘C’ Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm of Ian Bennett, along with arson with regard to the dwelling house belonging to Adrian Bayne and Isua Bayne.

In addition, Beckles was also charged with criminal damage to a motor vehicle belonging to Carrington Estate Limited.

He is scheduled to reappear at the same court on October 17, 2024. (BA/PR)
