Classes continue at Deighton Griffith School following morning incident

Classes have resumed as normal at the Deighton Griffith School following an early morning incident involving a student and a sharp object.

The situation arose when a student attempted to gain access to the implement; however, it was promptly retrieved, and no injuries were reported.

The police were called to the scene and are currently investigating the matter.

Officials from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training are also present to oversee the situation.

In response to circulating misinformation on social media, the school administration clarified that the institution is not on lockdown and that educational activities continue uninterrupted.

The Ministry is awaiting a full report from the Principal regarding the incident. (PR)
