The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will be carrying out tree cutting and removal along Collymore Rock, St. Michael, on Sunday, October 20.

The operation will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., opposite the Collymore Rock Church of the Nazarene.

As a result of the works, a section of the road, from the entrance of Highgate Gardens to the gas station on Collymore Rock, will be closed to traffic for the duration of the day.

However, local access will be permitted for residents and churchgoers.

Motorists travelling from Wildey will be required to divert via Flag Staff Road or Wildey Road, while those approaching from Bridgetown must use Villa Road or Pine Plantation Road.

Both motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution and adhere to the directions of traffic wardens while in the area.

The MTW has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the necessary works and thanked the public for their cooperation and patience. (MTW)
