Barbados Football Association (BFA) President, Randy Harris believes the inaugural Prime Minister’s Cup (PMC) semi-professional football tournament is one of the most mature and positive things that has happened for the sport locally.

Speaking during a press conference held on Wednesday at Kensington Oval, Harris not only appealed for the continuation of the PMC but also for the BFA to have a possible spin-off from the tournament.

“I would just like everybody here to know that this is one of the most mature things that has happened to football in recent years, in that the government and the BFA working in tandem, can produce football.

The tournament, which is now at the semi-final stage, has attracted thousands of spectators at community venues, something that pleases Harris. (ML)
