Christmas will not be the same for a Chalky Mount, St Andrew woman whose grandson was gunned down on Tuesday night in their neighbourhood.

Sylvia “Almona” Kellman is praying for justice over the killing of 24-year-old Raheem “Taz” Greene, who was shot by an unknown assailant wearing a mask.

Residents said the man assaulted Greene, also of Chalky Mount, as he was walking through the neighbourhood and a scuffle ensued. However, he got away and ran to his father’s house but was pursued by the gunman who shot him inside the house before fleeing the scene.

He became the 49th homicide for the year.
