Prior Park Road in St. James, from the gas station at Redmans Village to the Prior Park roundabout, will be closed to vehicular traffic today, Thursday, for paving works.

The road closure will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

C.O. Williams Construction will be carrying out the paving of a 240-metre stretch of road, starting at the Redmans Village junction and proceeding westward towards the roundabout.

During this time, traffic will be redirected through Bagatelle Terrace and Old Plow Road, connecting back to the Ronald Mapp Highway (Highway 2A).

Signage and flag personnel will be on-site to assist the travelling public.

Work is also ongoing on other sections of Prior Park Road as part of the Ministry of Transport and Works’ (MTW) CAF Programme.

Road users are urged to exercise caution and use alternative routes where possible.

MTW has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the works and expressed gratitude to residents, businesses and road users for their patience and cooperation during this rehabilitation project.
