Some residents of Richmond, St Michael, are calling for improved road safety measures in the aftermath of Monday’s accident where six-year-old schoolboy Dakari Edwin was involved in a collision with a car.
They lamented that the area along President Kennedy Drive where the incident occurred had seen similar accidents in the past.
According to neighbours, the Westbury Primary School pupil usually makes his way home in the company of his brother but instead left school on his own Monday afternoon. Witnesses said the boy was on the corner looking to cross the road.
Natasha Martindale told the MIDWEEK NATION her son, who is still hospitalised, is on the mend.
