A complaint has been fired off to the Chief Education Officer over blogger Stephanie Chase who is also a teacher within the Ministry of Education.
Dr Dawn-Marie Armstrong, a recently-announced Democratic Labour Party (DLP) candidate, confirmed to the Sunday Sun that she wrote to Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw after several people forwarded posts by the blogger to her.
“I don’t know who the lady is. I know that I serve a higher purpose in terms of trying to change things around in this country and I will not let somebody like Stephanie Chase, who . . . share[s] on aspects of people’s lives . . . to dictate the dialogue about me within Barbadian politics or the political landscape,” Armstrong said.
In the letter, she referenced when Chase was summoned to court and warned about possible contempt in relation to a then ongoing case; her post popping up during school hours, and the nature of the posts.

Last Tuesday, Armstrong stated: “I don’t know her at all and this is why it started to bother me. I don’t follow the blog but people share with me the things that are being said and I ask why . . . everything that I post politically she shares. I cannot tell you that I know the lady, I know nothing about her.”
On January 21, the DLP announced 15 candidates to run whenever the next General Election is called, naming Armstrong, who ran in St George South in 2022, to contest the St Michael North seat and has been sharing on social media in relation to that. She is a United Kingdom-chartered and registered sport and exercise psychologist, recently returned to the island.
“I returned home just four weeks ago well qualified looking to bring some of that to the Caribbean, yes, through politics, because until Government starts to take sports serious, somebody has to lead the charge,” she stated.
When contacted, Chase, who is known online for the Chase Files, said she had not seen the letter which was making the rounds on social media and would have to see it before making a comment. She added she would be seeking legal advice on the matter.
