Shooting victim succumbs to injuries

A man succumbed to gunshot injuries tonight after being transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private car.

Police say the incident took place around 8:32 p.m. Thursday at Jackman Road, Wavell Avenue, Black Rock, St Michael.

According to a report they received, the man was standing outside a house when he was approached by another man. A series of gunshots were heard and he collapsed.

The victim was assisted by neighbours and taken to the hospital for treatment where he subsequently passed away.

This is the tenth homicide for 2025. (PR/SAT)
